The Bassa High School Wish-List
Bassa High School, like many institutions of learning in Liberia, has fallen on hard times. The explosion in student population and the dwindling of state resources are causing serious problems for school administrators.
In a recent communication received from Mr. Chapman Adams, CEO of Grand Bassa County public schools and Mr. Vee Sheriff, principal of Bassa High School, they petitioned BHSA, USA for amongst other things:
· Prescribed Textbooks for junior and senior divisions
· A Fence around the campus of the Bassa High School
· Science Instructors
· Laboratory Equipments
· A Standard Library
· Mimeographing Machine
· HP Laser Printers
· About three hundred chairs for the auditorium
· Sporting Goods (equipments) for students Soccer, Volley, Basket, and Kick Balls
· Renovation and Rehabilitation of the Science and Vocational annexes
Please note that this request preceded our generous donations to our alma mater in 2009.
