Projects
As part of an on-going project initiative, the Bassa High Former students and Alumni
Association in the United States recently invested a total amount of
$11,900.00
(eleven thousand and nine hundred U.S. dollars) on renovation projects including
paints, painting, Repairing of roof, repairing doors, windows, etc. The Association
also bought 200 new chairs and paid stipends to the administrative staff and
teachers amounting to
$3,475.00
(three thousand four hundred and
seventy-five U.S. dollars).
The breakdown of the $11,900.00 is as follows:
Renovation and furnishing of campus main building - $8,425.00
Stipend paid to administrative staff and instructors
- $3,475.00
Total Expenditure:..................................................$11,900.00
In celebration of these worthy efforts, Mr. Joseph D. Sinyan, Class of '72, BHS,
a current Board Member of the Association, traveled to Liberia and ably represented
the association during a Dedication Ceremony in Lower Buchanan, Grand Bassa County,
Liberia. Many dignitaries including the Supervisor of Schools for Grand Bassa
County, Mr. Otto Von Bismarck Diggs, in addition to the School’s Principal, Faculty,
Students, among others..., attended the occasion. We like to express our thanks
and appreciation to all those kind and hard working members of the association and
friends of BHS who made this dream a reality. We look forward to continuing
our efforts to make BHS second to none in the Republic of Liberia...
